Carl Anka
Carl Anka is a London-born journalist and broadcaster who believes that everything deep down is a wrestling storyline. He has written for BBC, the Guardian, VICE, NME, GQ and BuzzFeed among other publications online and in print and specialises in writing about pop culture, video games, films and football. Currently a reporter for sports media group The Athletic, for someone fearful of phonecalls, he appears in far too many podcasts. You name it, he'll try and read the wikipedia page for it to impress you. Carl co-authored Marcus Rashford’s book You Are a Champion (Macmillan Children’s Books). It was WHSmith’s Book of the Year, and was the number one bestselling children’s book. In 2022, they published a follow up You Can Do It: How to Find Your Team and Make a Difference. This was followed by the You Can Do It Action Planner, and Marcus Rashford’s Heroes. In 2026, Carl and Marcus release their latest book, Marcus Rashford’s World of Football. Carl has co-presented BBC’s Bitesize for the last three years. He lives in Manchester.
