Cecilia Knapp

Cecilia Knapp is a poet, novelist and playwright. She is the Young People’s Laureate for London, 2020-2021. Poems have appeared in Magma, The White Review, Ambit and Bath Magg. She was featured in British Vogue as one of the UK’s young writers to watch. She teaches creative writing in a number of settings, including as one of the lead tutors for The Roundhouse Poetry Collective. She curated the poetry anthology Everything is Going to be Alright which was published by Trapeze in 2021. She was shortlisted for the 2020 Women’s Prize and the Outspoken poetry prize and was The Young People’s Laureate for London. Her debut poetry collection, Peach Pig, was published by Corsair in 2022 and she was shortlisted for the Forward Prize Best Single Poem. Her debut novel Little Boxes was published by The Borough Press in 2022 and was shortlisted for the Author’s Circle Award, and its follow up, Lack, is published in 2026.
